So we’re browsing the Halo 3 beta code, looking for tags and any information regarding the final release of Halo 3. Since the beta is a build of the game incorporating many of the features from the final game and utilizing much of the same code, there’s a lot of stuff in the beta files (that although not playable in the beta due to restrictions) that is unnanounced and directly related to both the single and multiplayer sides of the game.

Let’s start with something small then, like the multiplayer names given out to players if they start a game without entering a name for themselves. This was apparent in Halo 1 a nd 2 of course, but we’ve slightly different ones for Halo 3.

Here’s the list:

If i’m a guest at yours and we fire up Halo, I’ll be gunning for Ling-ling.
