It’s not you, it’s me.
In many ways, you’re too good for me. You can find someone better. Maybe a little hairy dude. Maybe a Hungarian Unicyclist. I just know that I don’t deserve you, and that this is just as hard for me as it is for you.
Having met Frankie several times over the years all I can say is, this is definitely a sad loss for Bungie. He’s a really great guy and the Halo community just wouldn’t be what it is today without him.
It’s not all bad news though, Halo fans – as he’s not actually going all that far. Sticking with the Halo franchise, Frankie is headed to Micosoft to continue working on the series on forthcoming projects. Exactly what these projects are remains to be seen (Peter Jackson’s Halo Chronicles? Gearbox’s rumoured prequel, Forerunner? Or that Halo RPG? expect more news soon), but we can all rest assured the hands in which they lie are that little bit safer now.
So while it’s a sad day indeed. The end of an era if you will. It’s not one we should totally be crying over.
Frankie, we salute you. Lukems, it’s over to you.
